The Devil Wears Zara.

   Todo llega a su fin: las vacaciones, el no irse a la cama, el despertarse sin preocupaciones, el no saber qué hora es... Pero hay que disfrutar de los últimos días que tenemos de libertad (si nos damos una pequeña escapada mucho mejor). Y eso es, justamente, lo que he hecho yo la semana pasada: irme con mi mejor amiga Cecilia a Tenerife. ¿A qué? Por supuesto, ¡de compras!

   Everything has an end: Summer, coming home late, waking up past midday...But 10 more days left to enjoy, so live it up! (and, if you have the chance to go somewhere, everything gets better). And yes, that's exactly what I did, with my best friend Cecilia, last week: We went to Tenerife.  "Let's go shopping", we said. 

   En esta entrada, no voy a hablar extensamente de cada producto, si no que, más bien, haré un repaso general de las tiendas que pisé, y los productos que compré en cada una de ellas; así como las impresiones que sentí (el deseo de no regresar) y la atención que recibí. 

   I won't talk widely on this post, but I want to show you everything I've bought. I also want you to know all the shops I went in; what I felt when I was there ( Actually, I din't want to come back); and the service and personal attention I received.

       Es normal que lleve varios días queriendo escribir esta entrada. Cuando se trata de Louis Vuitton y sus zapatos (ya no hablamos de sus bolsos), el tiempo parece congelarse. Vale, quizás os estaréis preguntando de qué os estoy hablando. Simple: de la nueva colección de zapatos otoño/invierno de Louis Vuitton.

     No hay nada más grande que un par de zapatos bonitos. Quizás esté obsesionado (un pelín), como dije en una de mis entradas anteriores, pero la cosa es que, donde la gente ve un simple complemento, yo (y espero que todos los amantes de los zapatos también) veo una obra de arte. Aún me acuerdo de lo que me pregunto una amiga: ¿tú cómo diseñas? ¿cómo te vistes? Y le respondí: ¡Siempre comienzo por los zapatos, y, una vez que los tenga, comienzo a escoger las prendas del look. 

      No sé lo que será, pero debo confesar que esta nueva colección de Louis Vuitton me ha cautivado. Así que, como una "imagen vale más que mil palabras", os presento la colección LV SHOES.

"¿De cóctel con Jimmy Choo?"

   Hay pocas cosas que hacen que me levante del sofá,  encienda el ordenador, y vaya directamente a  Blogger para escribir una nueva entrada. Pero una vez que se ha producido esta chispa (locura diría yo), no hay nadie que pueda pararme (A no ser que entre alguien por la puerta con una tableta de chocolate de tres metros). Y esto es, justamente, la sensación (Eufórica, pasional y casi orgásmica) que me ha entrado cuando he visto la nueva colección Cóctel de Jimmy Choo. Creo que me ha entrado fiebre.

"¿Tendencias?"

    Las personas ya no son creativas. Hay un lamentable gusto por la moda en las calles. Sí, lo sé...Quizás, yo no vista Dior, Louis Vuitton, o cualquier otra marca cara, pero, lo que es verdad, es que siempre (y digo siempre) intento ser yo mismo. Me parece muy triste que la gente haya olvidado la auténtica esencia de la moda: creatividad, soñar, ser uno mismo. Ahora, se trata de plagiar lo que otros consideran in. Pues dejadme decir que eso a lo que llamáis moda, no lo es. Es, simplemente, esconderte tras una fachada que se va oxidando poco a poco. Así que ahora os presento tres de las tendencias que más se ven últimamente.

   We all have a talent for sinning. And FASHION also loves the tasty elixir of sins. So, let's talk about the new "low Heels" for this Spring'13.

"Sex and the Shoes"

   Someone once told me: "A pair of shoes can change your life. Just ask Cinderella". We always see the Haute Couture and the clothes, but...What about the shoes? We see them on scream, on the red carpet and lust after them in museums, but it seems they're not important in fashion or, worst of all, in our lives!

   I remember that one of my favourite fictional character, Carrie Bradshaw- yeah!  The same Carrie Bradshaw from "Sex and the City"- adored the shoes over all.   One of my favourite scenes was when Carry told this to Aidan- one of her first boyfriends in the "Big City":

  “Aidan: Don’t take this the wrong way, but this place could use a little work.   Carrie: I know, but I can’t afford it.   Aidan: You’ve got eight thousand bucks worth of shoes over there.   Carrie: I needed those!” -Sex and the City"

   They say Zodiac guides you, tells what your weakness are, so that you are aware of your strength and weakness. But... hey, That's it! It ends there. That's the beauty of it.

  Well, I think I don't like that kind of beauty.... I prefer Charlotte Olympia's new collection. I think you can tell a woman's star sign by her shoes, thanking this Zodiac-Inspired New Collection. Will you both match, according to your Zodiac Sign?

Spring Essentials

   Spring…March 21st brings us fresh new life, longer days and crisp air in our lungs! Spring brings us SPARKS...Sparks in fashion! We go out and revamp our wardrobe. This season brings us a fresh start, new faces, shorts and dresses.

   In spring, we create. I love this Season becuase we can create several outfits with simple pieces: shorts, hats or cotton dresses...  we rebirth... Light hits everything. Moreover, we can put our sknny jeans on... There are a lot of reasons to get excited in Spring Fashion!  I've been studying what's coming for spring/summer 2013. It's important to do this before it hits the rails for planning purposes and, hurrah, this looks like being a good fashion summer for those of us who are … more mature. 

• Short dresses has been revived: we have to think in flowing lines. I love them because they are versatile, wearable and lovely. You can get an informal look, just adding a Goorin Bros Hat, or a formal one with a pair of Louboutin and a beautiful Chanel Jacket.
• I love BLACK, and this year, Black and Spring belong together. It may sound weird, yes, but Black is perfect for all the festivals that are coming in this beautiful Season. One word: CHIC. Mix some black dresses with pastel accessories, big bags or nice lipsticks. You’ll look like Audrey Hepburn, elegant, but fresh anyway.
• Florals are with us again.  I love them, specially, but you have to be carefull when you wear them. Sometimes, we mix florals with several other prints that ruins our outfits. I hate, for example, those people who wear Leopard print with more Leopard Print, or with floral print. Tey think they “go” fine, but it’s just AWFUL.
• Stripes: this Spring 2013, some designers, like Marc Jacobs has shown us “optical stripes”. Stripes are fine because they make you look taller and thinner.
• Swinging 60s checks: Just think in Louis Vuitton... do you have the image of the latest collection? Yeah? Well, it seems like “old” is “in” again. You’ll look stunning in one of those outfits, but  never forget about “simplicity”. This kind of outfits don’t need accessories. With a simple purse, they will be ok.
